Electric Daisy Could Return, Faces Tighter Restrictions
The city manager of Joliet says the controversial music festival needs to wrap up festivities sooner if they want to come back next year.
It's still undecided whether the controversial Electric Daisy Carnival concert will return to the Chicagoland Speedway next year, but if it does, it'll end "a lot earlier," reports the Sun-Times Media.
Joliet City Manager Thomas Thanas made the promise during a Monday city council meeting. According to him, event promoter Insomniac needs to work with the city's demands if they ever wish to return. Specific closing hours were not mentioned.
The three-night electronic music concert, held during Memorial Day, boasted an attendance of 60,000 and blasted music across miles of prairie land (much to the chagrin of many local Patch readers) until 4 a.m.

“They do want to come back," Thanas said.
