Close to 2,000 Without Power Across the L-W Area
Thunderstorms are creating power outages throughout the area.
The line of thunderstorms has knocked out power across the Lincoln-Way area. ComEd is reporting outages in New Lenox and Mokena. The ComEd outage map shows no outages at this time in Frankfort.
In New Lenox:
The area west of Veterans Parkway between Route 30 and Haven Avenue is without power. More than 400 customers are without power there.
The Lincolnwood Hills subdivision just east of Schoolhouse Road and Route 30 shows 86 customers without power.
In Mokena:
Mokena Patch Facebook fans are reporting that the lights have gone out for everyone "west of LaGrange and north of LaPorte Road." ComEd reports that 1,189 customers are without power in that area around the Grasmere subdivision.
In Manhattan:
About 100 customers are without power in the area of Manhattan and Laraway Roads.
