Write-In Candidate for New Lenox School D122, 2-year Term

A write-in candidate for New Lenox School District 122 filed Feb. 7 with the Will County Clerk's Office.

Todd Hyatt, New Lenox, filed a declaration of intent as a write-in candidate for the New Lenox School District 122 Board of Education. The Will County Clerk's Office lists Hyatt as a new-comer to the race. Like incumbent Kathy Miller, he is running for the two-year term. Patch has not yet been able to secure a comment from Hyatt. The last day to file a declaration as a write-in candidate was Feb. 7, according to the Will County Clerk website. All total, there are eight candidates running for four expiring 4-year terms and two candidates for 2-year terms in NLSD122.   Hyatt steps into the fray that has come to define Election 2013 for the NLSD122 Board of Education. Nominating petition forms for the April 9, 2013 school board election in Lincoln-Way High School District 210 are now available. Forms may be picked up in the office of Sue Fennell, recording secretary to the Board of Education at 1801 E. Lincoln Highway, New Lenox on any business day between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. A school board candidate's petition must be filed in the same office no earlier than 7: a.m. on Monday, December 17 and no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, December 24. Candidates names will appear on the election ballot in the order in which their nominating papers are received in the recording secretary's office.
