A man arrested and accused of stealing thousands of dollars from his job at a cigarette wholesaler is the grandson of Will County Board Republican Chairman Jim Moustis, a source said. Nicholas Moustis, 23, of 21349 S. 80th Ave. in Frankfort, surrendered to the Mokena police on Friday and faces one count each of felony and misdemeanor theft. He posted $1,500 bail for his release. Mokena police Cmdr. Dan Rankovich said Nicholas Moustis stole more than $3,600 from his employer. The criminal complaint against Nicholas Moustis identified the victim of the theft as Mazher Khan. Tom Weigel, an eight-year veteran of the Will County Board, and the newly-elected Margo McDermed, said Wednesday that they are looking to stay the conservative spending course that the board has exercised. However, both agreed that attracting new business and infrastructure improvements will mark their efforts moving forward.
