The interactive map shows where all car and home burglaries, as well as property damage incidents, happened in New Lenox during January 2012.
Through January 2012, four cars were burglarized in New Lenox. There was one case in which a home was burglarized. There were foure cases of theft from a home and four from cars. This interactive map shows where all criminal damage to property incidents and thefts occurred in December in New Lenox.
In December 2012, seven criminal damage complaints were filed—four at homes and three vehicles—in New Lenox. There were also five incidents of theft reported—two businesses, two homes and one incident of theft from a car. Police are investigating these matters. Jonathan Karlson, 17, Lockport, is in Will County Jail accused of shaking a Homer Glen infant, who later died of her injuries.
The Offices of the Will County Sheriff along with the Will County State's Attorney have upgraded charges against Jonathan Karlson, 17, Lockport, from aggravated battery to murder. In light of a Cook County Medical Examiner's ruling that the cause of death was a homicide. Karlson was arrested Dec. 7 in connection with the infant's death. According the Will County Sheriff's report, the night before his arrest, Karlson was babysitting for the infant while her 18-year-old mother was at work.
