The Will County Sheriff's police will be cracking down on St. Patrick's Day revelers. Party-goers should be aware that the Will County Sheriff's police will be out en-force through March 17. The Will County Sheriff's Office will be conducting special patrols for drunk drivers celebrating St. Patrick's Day. The campaign will continue through March 17. "Unbuckled motorists will also be ticketed during this campaign," said Kathy Hoffmeyer, spokesperson for the Will County Sheriff's Department. "We are reminding everyone to 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' and ' Click it or Ticket.'" Sgt. Steve Byland suggests revelers arrange for a designated driver, if drinking alcohol is on the agenda. One suspect allegedly involved in the March 4 kidnapping by gunpoint of an elderly woman in Frankfort Square turned himself in on Thursday, Sun-Times Media reports.
Will County Sheriff's police Thursday took into custody one of three men who allegedly kidnapped an elderly Frankfort Square woman by gunpoint on March 4, Sun-Times Media reports. A $1 million bail was set for Chavell Anderson, 21, Hazel Crest, who was booked into Will County Jail just after 5 p.m. Thursday. He is scheduled to appear in Will County Court on Friday. Will County Sheriff's Deputy Chief Ken Kaupas told Sun-Times Media reporters that the other two—Dorian Yamini, 23, and Aaron Anderson, 20—remain at large. All three face charges of armed robbery. A Homer Glen man was charged Monday with drug induced homicide in connection with an October 2012 death of an Orland Park man.
The Will County Sheriff's police Monday filed formal charges against Maximillian Kalemba, 21, Homer Glen, with drug induced homicide. Randall Witte, 23, Orland Park, was found dead of a heroin overdose on Oct. 27, 2012 in Kalemba's backyard. According to Kathy Hoffmeyer, Will County Sheriff's Department spokesperson, Kalemba stated that the two were in his garage around 3 p.m. on Oct. 26 and ingested heroin. Kalemba then left to attend a wedding. It wasn't until the morning of Oct. 27, when he took the dog out that he discovered Witte laying unresponsive in the bushes. Kalemba reportedly told investigators that he and Witte had been friends for four or five years and that both of them had a history of drug-related problems. During the …

Three men stole the woman's car and attempted to use her ATM card before releasing her in Country Club Hills.
A 70-year-old Frankfort Square woman was abducted at gunpoint by three men Monday night, Sun-Times Media reports. Are you a fan of true crime? "Like" the Crime-n-Shame page on Facebook. The abduction occurred on the 8200 block of Chestnut Drive, near the woman’s home. The men, who she didn't know, called her over to their car, pulled a gun and ordered her into the back seat. One of the men stole the woman’s car, which has since been recovered. The other two drove around the area for an hour, tried to use her ATM card and eventually released her near a gas station in Country Club Hills. This week's biggest stories involved arrests for alleged crimes that are disturbing.
The first story involves a New Lenox man and his relationship with an underage girl from Tinley Park. Another disconcerting story involves a Frankfort pediatrician arrested for groping women; the complaints go back a number of years. In the top story, a New Lenox man is facing two counts of child pornography and manufacture or delivery of cocaine. Michael McGrath, 22, of the 100 block of Terry Ellen Lane, was busted in what started as a narcotics investigation by New Lenox police.
