From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 15, professional video specialists will record messages for the troops.
The VFW is hosting an opportunity for families, businesses and organizations to come together and record free holiday messages to the troops. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 15 at the VFW, professional video production specialists from Wild West Online Productions, of New Lenox, will be recording messages on a first-come-first-served basis from everyone, including Girl Scout troops, veterans, families with loved ones currently serving in the military, businesses, churches and more. Representatives from Patch and the VFW's Project Coordinator Tim Howe are slated to be on-hand to help organize the process and prepare groups to offer a meaningful message. As a proud member of the community, New Lenox Patch is pleased to host the YouTube messages prepared voluntarily as part of the first-ever Operation Holiday Messages for the Troops. All total, 13 videos were taken Dec. 20, beginning at New Lenox Fire Protection District. The rest were taken at Village Hall. The event was sponsored by Ann C. Piasecki, owner of Family Back Stories, and produced by Tyler Morris, owner of Wild West Online Productions. Both businesses are based in New Lenox.
