LWHS D210 Supt. Larry Wyllie's Retirement Saves the District a Chunk of Change

See how much the salary spread is between a 24-year veteran and a 1st year.

LWHS District 210 is expected in the 2013-2014 school year to save $65,334.77 in salary alone with the shift from the soon-to-be retired Supt. Lawrence Wyllie to Scott Tingley, the superintendent-to-be. According to the contract, the compensation package for the 24-year veteran superintendent was identical to all other LWHS District 210 administrators. The contract states: "… (T)he salary increase will be equal to the average salary increase approved by the board for all administrators." In a comparison between Wyllie's 2012-2013 contract and Tingley's for next year, the district stands to save $915.84 in the pension contribution plan. So why don't you move to Plainfield? You would surely make a profit on selling your LW area house for a much larger home in Plainfield. And guess what? The teacher pay there is far below LW teacher pay. How great is that? Yeah, their PSAE & AP scores are atrocious, but who cares. Teachers are greedy and school would be much better if privatized.   more ›
