Encore Senior Village hosted a garden party to celebrate the opening of their senior village.
Encore Senior Village celebrated their formal grand party with a garden party-style celebration. The temperatures were a bit chillier than planners had hoped for an inside-outside celebration May 2 at 1023 S. Cedar Road, but the formal ribbon cutting ceremony by the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce came off without a hitch. The corporate owners are Focus Health Care Partner of Chicago. The firm purchased the former Paradise Park Assisted Living facility, which features individual apartments as well as an assisted memory care unit. After the ribbon cutting and few kind words of welcome by New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann, the corporate owners had staff on-hand to lead tours of the facility. About 115 exhibitors, including a new section for non-profit organizations, were at the expo.
The 2013 Community Expo & Home Show drew a large crowd March 16 to the Lincoln-Way Central High School Field House. While it featured local businesses, it also offered numerous demonstrations from Zumba dancing to masage therapies. From community banks to pet adoption organizations, the fileld house was full of excitement. Check out the photos of some of the many displays. The 2013 Community Expo & Home Show will be featuring local businesses, offering demonstrations, a pet section and more. Billed as one of the largest business expos in the Chicago Southland, the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce's annual event is expected to draw about 115 exhibitors. The expo is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 16 at Lincoln-Way Central High School Field House, 1801 E. Lincoln-Highway. Networking begins an hour before the expo opens. Deb Hypke, executive director of the chamber, said the show this year is highlighting improvements for the home both inside and outside. I think supporting non profit is an amazing idea - we all plan on spending the money, so why not do it for a good cause. As a mother, I would totally approve! As for a favorite place to take mom, we have her over at our home, where all of us siblings bring an elaborate dish that would not be on the usual daily menu.
