Dust Off Old Collectables and Buy New Clothes and Jewelry at Eclectic Attic

Learn everything you need to know about the newest business in the upstairs portion of the Trolley Barn.

Laura Cocalas was warned of other businesses that had come and gone in the upstairs portion of the Trolley Barn. Instead of being frightened off by the knowledge of previous failures, Cocalas embraced the challenge of the area by naming her new business, 'Eclectic Attic.' The antique, retail, resale and consignments store opened its doors on July 2, and already has over 25 separate deals with other businesses to sell goods in its shop. At 7-Eleven, Customers Are All in the Family

It's where everybody knows your name.

When it comes to targeting a customer and understanding their needs, Peggy and Tom Wortmann, owners of the 7-Eleven convenience store in New Lenox, should be hosting how-to seminars for small business owners. The Worthmanns, their adult children Tommy and Val and another seven employees, including Tommy's wife, Tina, estimate they know at least 65 percent of their customers on a first-name basis. These are the regulars who show up for the morning rush that starts …

Have You Had Your Eyes Checked Lately?

Have a favorite business in town? Or one that hasn't made you happy? Please join the discussion on Patch and leave reviews in our business directory.

Each week Patch focuses on a different product or service. This week it's about the eyes. Was one of your New Year's resolutions to get your eyes checked?
