New Lenox's Newly Elected Sen. Toi Hutchinson Drops Out of 2nd District Race
The state senator, whose 40th District now encompasses portions of New Lenox and Frankfort, has decided to stay put. She dropped out of the race for Jesse Jackson's Congressional seat.
Toi Hutchinson announced Sunday that she has withdrawn from the race for the 2nd Congressional District seat, and will be backing Robin Kelly to oppose former congresswoman Debbie Halvorson. The senator for Illinois' 40th District, which now encompasses portions of New Lenox and Frankfort, was elected Nov. 6 and announced only three weeks later a decision to throw her hat in the ring to represent the 2nd Congressional District. Citizen, where are Greg's true Democratic roots with a major south side REPUBLICAN player Ed Zabrocki donating THOUSANDS to Greg's campaign.
