New Lenox Man Wins Lucky Day Lotto

It wasn't the Illinois Powerball Jackpot, but Joseph J. of New Lenox still won $58,000 in the Lucky Day Lotto!

A New Lenox man won $58,333 playing the lottery last week, according to the Illinois Lottery Facebook page.  While most people were consumed with the Illinois Powerball Jackpot drawing on Thursday, Joseph J., of New Lenox, played the Lucky Day Lotto last week and had the winning ticket.  He purchased his ticket at the Circle K gas station, 471 Nelson Rd. in New Lenox.  According to Illinois Lottery, Joseph plans to use some of his winnings during the holiday season.  It isn't the only successful ticket recently sold in New Lenox. Winning $250K Lotto Ticket Sold in New Lenox

The ticket, which is still unclaimed, was sold at the Village Liquor Mart.

Someone in the New Lenox area is $250,000 richer after Saturday’s Little Lotto drawing, making them the third big winner in Will County in the past two weeks. The winner, who has not yet been identified, matched all five numbers—6, 7, 23, 31 and 33—on the ticket, which was purchased at Village Liquor Mart, 1306 N. Cedar Road. The store will receive a $2,500 bonus, 1 percent of the jackpot amount, for selling a winning ticket. Previous Will County winners include a $100,000 ticket sold in Lockport on March 31 and a $250,000 ticket sold in Shorewood on April 4.  Earlier this year, lottery agents in New Lenox sold one of the 500 winning $1,000 tickets in this year's Halloween Millionaire Raffle by the Illinois Lottery.
