The Village of New Lenox is Hosting 'Honor Flight the Movie'

The Home of Proud Americans just seemed to be the right place to sponsor a program that promotes the Honor Flight program for World War II veterans.

After five years of transporting veterans to the memorial, a film has been made about the emotionally-stirring impact of the trip on the veterans who participate in the Honor Flight program. And it's coming to New Lenox's AMC Showplace 14, if enough people sign up for the $10 special viewing of "Honor Flight the Movie." Show time is 7:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at AMC. The film, "Honor Flight the Movie," was broadly released last Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor Day. It is a heartwarming documentary about four living World War II veterans and a Midwest community coming together to give them the trip of a lifetime—a chance to see the Washington, D.C. memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.
