Fatal DUI Case Calls for DNA Testing

Prosecutors want blood samples tested in the case against an Orland Park man charged with reckless homicide after a crash that killed a Lockport nurse.

Investigators were directed in a hearing Tuesday to conduct a DNA analysis of blood found at the scene of a DUI-related fatal accident last summer. A Lockport nurse was killed in the crash at LaGrange Road and 95th Street.    Heidi Roseen, a 51-year-old nurse, was killed July 8 in an accident on her way to Advocate Christ Medical Center. Matthew Senica, 25, pleaded not guilty to 14-counts of aggravated DUI and one count of reckless homicide, according to an Orland Park Patch story. At a Tuesday hearing before Cook County Judge Carmen K. Aguilar at the Bridgeview Courthouse, prosecutors were authorized to conduct DNA testing on blood samples found at the scene.
