New Lenox police arrested retired Chicago White Sox player, Carlton Fisk, on charges of drunken driving. His court date is Nov. 29.
Retired Chicago White Sox player Carlton Fisk, 64, was taken to the New Lenox Police Station on Oct. 22 and booked on charges of DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to drive on the right side of the roadway. His court date is set at 9 a.m. Nov. 29 at the Will County Courthouse in Joliet. Police found the Hall of Famer, who currently lives in Bradenton, FL., in a cornfield stupor behind the wheel of his pickup truck near Gougar and Spencer Roads. PALOS HEIGHTS April 21: Nikola Ostojic, 38, of the 12900 block of Forestview Road, was charged with driving under the influence. He was stopped at 4:53 a.m. and failed a field sobriety test, police said. A breath test revealed a blood alcohol level of .143, police said. ORLAND PARK Jan. 25: Felix Hernandez, 28, of the 13700 block of Trafalgar Court in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol level greater than .08, improper lane use, failure to signal and avoiding a traffic control device. Police pulled over a car after seeing it cross into the median, swerve between lanes, turn without signaling and cross through a parking lot, on 82nd Avenue near Uxbridge Drive around 2:10 a.m. The driver’s breath smelled like alcohol and he failed field sobriety tests, police said. Fisk parted ways with the White Sox on less than good terms and even demonstrated some strange behavior after he was released when he went to a game to wave to his former teammates from the stands.
