Friends of the New Lenox Public Library donated $6,500.
The New Lenox Public Library got a boost in funds from some supportive friends. Michelle Monbrod, president of the Friends of the New Lenox Public Library District, presented a check to New Lenox Public Library District President Lou Broccollo in the amount of $6,500.00. The money was raised at the Spring Arts Festival held by the Friends of the Library in April 2012. Each year, the Friends of the Library host an after-hours event to raise money for the library. This year’s theme was Les Miserables and featured a variety of raffles, artwork, and silent auctions for attendees. The theme for this year's annual social and auction by Providence Catholic Women's Club is "Magical Mystery Tour."
Providence Catholic High School Women’s Club is preparing to host “Magical Mystery Tour" Annual Social and Auction. Beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, in the school's Sacred Heart Gymnasium, the event includes a buffet dance and more. Cocktails are planned to be served and dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person. Besides the silent auction, another evening highlight is music by American English, a Beatles Tribute Band. In addition to the live band, a buffet dinner and two complimentary drinks, there will be plenty of time for fun.
