The New Year turned five days old today. And out of those five days, the Will County Courthouse was only open for three of them. Woman Charged With Filching From Frankfort Dentist Pleads Not Guilty

A receptionist at a Frankfort dentist's office allegedly stole thousands from her boss.

A Lombard woman charged with ripping off thousands of dollars from a Frankfort dentist while working as his receptionist pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of theft and possession of a controlled substance. Dorothy Lynn Guerrero, 28, was ordered to take a drug test prior to her Wednesday morning arraignment. She apparently passed and was allowed to leave after pleading not guilty. Guerrero is free on $50,000 bond following her Dec. 11 arrest. Frankfort officers had taken her into custody on a warrant. Guerrero stole more than $10,000 and less than $100,000 from Dr. James Tharp throughout September and October, according to an indictment secured against her in December.
