Join millions in typing "let it snow" in a Google search and watch what happens. You can clear it up by hitting the "defrost" button or by "scraping" with your mouse. According to forecasts from the National Weather Service in Romeoville, the Chicago area might not see much snow. This map shows little to no snow coverage throughout the area now, and most forecasts say we'll be without a White Christmas. The Weather Channel's forecast map shows that the Chicago area will be without a White Christmas. If you want to take your family around town on a tour de tinsel, click through the map above. Each snowflake represents one of the participants in the Park District's contest. New Lenox held its annual Christmas in the Commons event Sunday, complete with Santa, reindeer and a tree lighting. Check out some of the sights and sounds.
New Lenox held its annual Christmas in the Commons event Sunday, complete with Santa, reindeer and a tree lighting. Village Hall was packed by community members waiting in line to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and listening to local students sing carols. Outside, you could pet reindeer named Cookie and Angel, or take a ride in the horse-drawn carriage. Many local groups also participated in the tree-decorating contest. Instead of getting a giant tree to light on the Commons, the village went with a way that brought out more community interaction and lit up the 20 or so trees that were decorated earlier. Resident Lorelai Rinker, 7, was part of the Girl Scouts team that won the tree decorating contest, and she was also picked to flip the switch …

If you like to light up the sky like the Griswold family, the New Lenox Park District is looking for you to enter its Holiday Lights Contest. You may also sign up to be a judge.
