UPDATE: Frankfort Square Kidnapping Suspects Arrested in Texas

A 20-year-old New Lenox man is one of two suspects in the armed robbery of a 69-year-old Frankfort Square woman, the Chicago Tribune reports.

A New Lenox man, 20-year-old Aaron D. Anderson, is one of two suspects arrested Wednesday in Sulphur Springs, Texas in connection with the March 4 kidnapping by gunpoint of a 69-year-old Frankfort Square woman. The Chicago Tribune reports that Anderson and 23-year-old Dorian Yamini of Richton Park were arrested without incident Wednesday morning after a "police chase involving state, county and city police." The two were taken into custody in Sulphur Springs, about 80 miles northeast of Dallas. "Both are charged with unlawful possession of a handgun by a felon, a felony. Anderson, who was driving the Honda Civic they were in, is charged with the additional felony of evading arrest in a vehicle." the Chicago Tribune reports. Read more about…

Suspect in Frankfort Square Kidnapping in Custody

One suspect allegedly involved in the March 4 kidnapping by gunpoint of an elderly woman in Frankfort Square turned himself in on Thursday, Sun-Times Media reports.

Will County Sheriff's police Thursday took into custody one of three men who allegedly kidnapped an elderly Frankfort Square woman by gunpoint on March 4, Sun-Times Media reports. A $1 million bail was set for Chavell Anderson, 21, Hazel Crest, who was booked into Will County Jail just after 5 p.m. Thursday. He is scheduled to appear in Will County Court on Friday.  Will County Sheriff's Deputy Chief Ken Kaupas told Sun-Times Media reporters that the other two—Dorian Yamini, 23, and Aaron Anderson, 20—remain at large. Police Charge 2 Men Nabbed in New Lenox After Tinley Park Armed Robbery

Two men have been charged in connection with the manhunt that started Jan. 2 in Tinley Park and ended in a car crash in New Lenox.

Two men were charged Friday with the Jan. 2 Tinley Park armed robbery that ended in New Lenox after they crashed their getaway car on Route 6 just east of Cedar Road. A third man was released pending investigation. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office charged Larone Smith and Lazeric Watkins, both are 24 and from Chicago. The pair appeared Friday at Bridgeview Courthouse. Smith's bond was set at $500,000, while Watkins' bond  is set at $250,000.   Tinley Park Police Chief Steve Neubauer said the two were armed just after 7 p.m. Wednesday when they robbed cell phones from the T-Moblie store, Harlem Avenue and 162nd Street. Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested After New Lenox Car Crash: (UPDATE)

New Lenox and Illinois State police departments arrested three Tinley Park armed robbery suspects who police say crashed the getaway car on Route 6.

Police Searching For Man Who Stole Car with BB Gun

A Will County man and a woman stole a car from an employee at an Orland Park restaurant late Monday night. Police are still searching for the man.

Police are looking for a man who held up an Orland Park restaurant employee with a BB pistol, and fled the scene in the employee's car. The Orland Park Police Department were called about an armed robbery at Red Lobster, 14750 LaGrange Rd., around 11:55 p.m. Monday, according to Orland Park Police Sgt. Scott Malmborg. An employee was about to drive away from the restaurant parking lot, when a man pulled out a replica Beretta pistol that fires BB pellets, pressed the gun against the female employee's chest, and demanded that she step out of car, Malmborg said. A judge is looking to conclude pretrial hearings in the case against Joseph P. Messina, accused of knocking a man unconscious outside 191 South in Mokena in 2009. Messina, who was celebrating his 21st birthday at the time, has been indicted on two counts of aggravated battery. Parker, a 23-year-old Evergreen Park resident charged with armed robbery on Chicago’s North Side, was arraigned Wednesday on a seven-count bill of indictment. Charges stem from an incident on Dec. 4 in which police said Parker and another man—Joel Shavers, 22, of Chicago—robbed a pedestrian in the 2900 block of North Mildred Street. At the time Parker was  carrying a loaded handgun, according to police, as well as several items reported stolen in that area over the preceding days, including cell phones and credit cards. Both men remained in jail Wednesday on a $400,000 bail. In 2010, Hickory Hills police said Mohammed Shaban, of Hickory Hills, and Akram Alshoweat, of Oak Lawn, yelled anti-gay slurs while punching, kicking and whipping a woman inside a restaurant. FRANKFORT — The Will County jailhouse will not be required to stop filming the private conversations of a man on trial for murder, but it will need permission before printing those videos again, a Will County judge ordered on Monday. Last year Brian Trainauskas, who was charged with first-degree murder and then solicitation of murder, alleged that a Will County sheriff’s deputy attacked him to force a confession. Two Men in Custody After Armed Holdup at Speedway

Police say Ronald Everett, of Joliet, wielded a knife while demanding money at a Speedway in New Lenox, then fled the scene to a car driven by Michael Jehle, of New Lenox.

A masked man threatened a Speedway employee with a knife Thursday night in New Lenox before taking money and fleeing the scene. Police said subsequent interviews led them to Ronald K. Everett, 36, of Joliet, who was charged with armed robbery and unlawful use of a weapon. Police learned he also had a warrant out for his arrest. He was taken to Will County Jail after New Lenox police tracked him down a couple blocks away from the Speedway gas station at 939 S. Cedar Road. Sgt. Hilary Davis said a Speedway employee triggered a silent alarm at 10:46 p.m. Thursday, but the robber fled on foot before police arrived.
