In light of the shooting spree in a Colorado movie theater during the premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises," the large movie chain AMC Theaters has issued a ban on certain costumes and props on its property. Previous media reports regarding this action said that the company had completely banned costumes from their theaters. AMC Theaters has recently released a statement clarifying what items they will no longer permit to be worn to their theaters. "We will not admit guests with face-concealing masks and we will not allow fake weapons in the buildings," said an official announcement on the AMC Theaters Facebook page. I got into "Harry Potter" late, but enjoyed every second of the seven books. You can too, and here's where to get them locally.

At least I am now that I’ve read and watched the entire Harry Potter series, something millions more have done before me. I had everything I wanted, but I also had a secret, though no longer must I fear that someone will discover it. I never consumed any Harry Potter until last month. At just 9 years old when the first book was released, I was at the perfect age to embark on a magical journey so many others were at the time. But the book chooses the reader, and I was simply more of a Ron than a Hermoine; I’d much prefer to play quidditch than study for the O.W.L.S. or dig through library books to find out who Nicolas Flamel was. Fans can catch up on the entire epic film series in two days leading up to the premier of "The Deathly Hallows, Part II." In New Lenox, Part I will play at 9 p.m. Thursday, just before the premiere of Part II.
In celebration of the finale of the most successful motion picture franchise of all time, Marcus Theatres in Orland Park will be hosting a marathon of all of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Harry Potter movies, based on the best-selling books by J.K. Rowling.
