We love the triple play series and have been going since it initiated I'm sure people wouldRead More understand an increase in ticket prices. Most shows are more than $50 for one event! Thanks Mayor Balderman for bringing this to our town!

Trying to distract from the fact that they have wild captured whales and dolphins in their poolsRead More that they kidnapped to exploit for money!

Learning how to take care of this whale species now will save it from extinction decades from nowRead More when their numbers are diminished through reckless hunting.
Grumpy Old Man February 27, 2014 at 08:02 am
There are good reasons for certain institutions to capture wild creatures. WS mentioned one. ThatRead More said, there is the problem with over stocking of captured animals and not understanding them. Orcas are the primary example. Most orcas are not being captured for study but for profit. And when you have an 8 - 10 ton animal in an enclosed space your may have trouble - two trainers killed by the same orca. There are no recorded instances of orcas attacking humans in the wild - get one in a tank and even if the death is accidental you are still playing with fire - orcas are not dogs. They are highly intelligent creatures - actually the largest member of the dolphin family although their size resulted in their being termed "whale" many years ago and it has stuck. So I agree with both Gina and William on that subject. I am a little surprised that the Shedd is now expanding into a dog show as well. if that helps encourage people to adopt rescued dogs, great.

(20 ILCS 1605/2) (from Ch. 120, par. 1152) Sec. 2. This Act is enacted to implement andRead More establish within the State a lottery to be conducted by the State through the Department. The entire net proceeds of the Lottery are to be used for the support of the State's Common School Fund, except as provided in subsection (o) of Section 9.1 and Sections 21.2, 21.5, 21.6, 21.7, and 21.8. The annual salary of the Director is $142,000.

Ty, the even bigger political game was that the lottery was sold to ADD TO school funding. Instead,Read More what they did was to use the proceeds to REPLACE the existing funding. The net effect is the schools got about the same amount of money but the state got a huge windfall of new money (the old source of money that used to go to the schools) that they then used on port barrel spending to buy themselves more years at the public trough.

I was on the ship - yes - it was verbal - there was NO physical altercation with the impersonator.Read More The impersonator has been going to every single concert (at least every one I have been it). He thrives on people thinking he is Trace! And as a Trace fan, I think enough is enough! How wold you feel if it was you and having to deal with someone at many of your concerts for the past 8 or so years, walking around and 'taking in the glory' of the fans thinking that person was you? And for the person wanting an autograph of the impersonator, why the heck would you want his signature? To me, that's ridiculous!
NL4LIFE January 21, 2014 at 08:00 am
@Barb thanks for clarifying something that nobody cares about. And yes he thrives on making peopleRead More think he is Trace because after all he is an "Trace Impersonator". You seem obsessed with Trace Adkins and are taking this stuff way too personally. I support the Fake Trace and want to have him over at my next party. If the Fake Trace is reading this please send me a message.

So while everyone is throwing these two guys under that well used bus, the real story from MikesRead More daughter is that her dad and Trace had a few words but NEVER anything beyond that!

I was there and I saw Trace roundhouse kick the Fake Trace multiple times until he was bloody. IRead More can't believe Trace Fans will go so far to lie about this tragic event.
