Multitalented Dalton Family Each Find Their Niche in Curtain Call's Oliver!

It's not every day that you costar with your family pet.

Several members of the Dalton family are involved with Curtain Call's upcoming production of Oliver!---each in a different way. Daughter Deidre plays Charlotte, the young lady who helps out in the funeral home; she also sings with the ensemble. Son Derek, of Lincoln-way West High School, is channelling his skills as a percussionist by playing with the orchestra in the pit.  Mom Michelle is using her multitasking talents as assistant director, which means she does everything from scheduling rehearsals to locating the props.  Not to be outdone, the family's bird has a part in the production, as Fagin's pet.  Oliver! is a family friendly musical tale of orphans and street urchins, thieves and misers in the back alleys of Dickensian London.  The musical, which opens January 4th at Lincoln-way East, features many well known tunes such as "Consider Yourself" and "Food, Glorious Food".  Michelle Dalton, of New Lenox, is happy to have her children and even her pet bird in the production, "Curtain Call is a very family friendly theatre group" she notes, "I'm really happy to see so many of us involved and working together". To see the Dalton bird and other members of the family perform on, below, and back stage, order tickets at www.ccctheatre.com or by calling the box office at 708 699-2228. Oliver! runs through January 6th.

People coming from the east will now have to fight through school traffic at Rt. 30/Schoolhouse.Read More People from southwest New Lenox will have to either venture up Cedar, which is painfully slow... or take Spencer from Laraway, in which they will have to cross Rt. 30 to go straight. Won't be an easy picnic.
