Employment Tips for Veterans Returning to Civilian Life
Adult immunizations, cooking, comics, live music, a night hike, crime discussion and other things to do in the Lincoln-Way area this week.
Veterans deserve more than our gratitude. They also deserve useful tips when transitioning back to civilian life, especially in the work force.
Marcea Weiss, a nine-year Army veteran, wrote a book on applying her military experience to the professional world called “Leaving The Military-Your Deployment Guide to Corporate America.”
Weiss will be leading a workshop for veterans Thursday at Joliet Junior College to get tips down before the Cantigny VFW Post 367’s Veteran Career and Education Fair on Oct. 19.
