Route 30 construction update from Village Engineer Will Nash:
- Traffic is on the correct side of the road through New Lenox except for a section from Anderson Road to just east of Schoolhouse Road. This section will be opened tomorrow allowing traffic to be on the correct side of the road through New Lenox.
- The new traffic configuration will provide access to all the adjacent driveways and side streets.
- Bluestone Bay Drive will be opened tomorrow.
- There are some driveways and side streets that have small asphalt ramps to transition from new pavement to the existing binder course of asphalt as well as some temporary drives along the north side of the road.
My staff and I will monitor these areas thru the winter and contact the contractor with any required maintenance issues.
All the work mentioned above is dependent on weather and the possibility of unforeseen utility issues.
