New Lenox Scouts Food Drive 2012

Over the past week over 400 Scouts distributed 9,500 brown grocery bags throughout New Lenox in an effort to fill three New Lenox food pantries.

The generosity of the residents of New Lenox, along with the hard work of the Scouts, has made their food drive a success for the past nine years. Each year the Scouts strive to improve on the prior year. This year they would like to exceed their goal of collecting 50,000 food items.  The Scouts came close last year collecting 48,000 items. They are asking for your help this year by filling the brown bag they left for you and placing it back on your front porch by noon, Sunday November 11th.

If you live in New Lenox and did not receive a bag, but would like to dontate to the food drive, please email nlscoutsfooddrive@gmail.com. They will make arrangements to pick up your donation.
