With Our Whole Heart

14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. 16I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, 17and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. 18I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. ~ Ephesians 3:14-19

As a small child, I remember trying to explain to my mom one day just how much I loved her.  I loved her with my WHOLE heart!  Even that seemed like not enough of an explaination for how I felt about her and how she did her all to make my childhood a happy one.

Christ loves us, too.  Paul prays that we might be able to wrap our mind around just how much Christ loves us.  To imagine an infinite length, height and depth of His love is still unimaginable to our minds, but because of this imense love for us, He died for us to save us from our sin and inevitable death.  Just reading this explaination of love can make our hearts swell with our love and appreciation for Jesus.  It should make us all want to drop to our knees in praise and thanksgiving to Him for all He has done to give us a way to eternal life.

Dearest Lord Jesus,

We thank you for the un-comprehendible amount of love You have for us.  We thank You for Your ultimate sacrifice so that we may one day be with You for all eternity.  Amen.
