Heavenly Hand-made Gifts

31 May the glory of the Lord endure for ever;

   may the Lord rejoice in his works—

32 who looks on the earth and it trembles,

   who touches the mountains and they smoke.

33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;

   I will sing praise to my God while I have being.

34 May my meditation be pleasing to him,

We have been enjoying beautiful, fall weather this mid-October.  My co-worker loves the outdoors and has expanded my horizons by getting me away from my desk to eat lunch at the picnic table on our beautiful church grounds that once was home to annual Campground revival meetings.  The light breeze wafted golden leaves from their branches into the air and gently glided them to the ground, twisting and turning the the rays of sunlight.  It made for a beautiful scene.  As my co-worker put it, it looked like a "leaf globe", instead of a snow globe!  The golden shimmers made for an entrancing scene on this beautiful day. 

It is good to take time out of our busy schedules and just sit and marvel at God's handiwork.  We so often rush about, ignoring the scenery God created for us to enjoy!  We should take time every day to enjoy all that God has created for us and to praise Him for all he has done for us.  What a wonderfully awesome Father He is! 

Prayer 

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for all of the beauty You have created for us to enjoy and for all that You give us daily.  May we always praise You for all of the wonderful works of Your hand!  Amen.
