Celebrate the Spirit of the Holiday Season this #GivingTuesday

Trinity Services, Inc., a New Lenox-based non-profit organization that serves more than 2,500 people with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness, has joined the national #GivingTuesday movement to encourage spending with a purpose on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013.

“GivingTuesday will harness the power of social media to create a national movement around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are synonymous with holiday shopping,” said Sherry Ladislas, Trinity’s Director of Fund Development.

As an extra incentive for making an online donation to Trinity Services on Tuesday, Dec. 3, your online gift to Trinity will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Coleman Foundation--up to $20,000! That’s right! Your $25 donation will become $50! Your $100 donation will be come $200! Your $500 donation will become $1,000! Make your online donation on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at www.razoo.com/TrinityServices or www.TrinityServices.org

“#GivingTuesday is a counter narrative to Black Friday and Cyber Monday because it reminds us that the spirit of the holiday giving season should be about community and not just consumerism,” said Kathy Calvin, CEO of the UN Foundation, a founding partner of #GivingTuesday. “The most meaningful gift we can give our children, loved ones, friends and neighbors is the commitment to work together to help build a better world.”

If you have questions or need helping making your online donation, please call Trinity’s Fund Development office at 815-717-3750.
