NL Pedestrian 'Bumped' by Car Crossing Route 30

A woman attempting to reach the Metra Train Station on foot was "bumped" by a car.

A pedestrian was "bumped" by a car about 7:30 a.m. today while attempting to get to the Metra Train Station, on Route 30 and Cedar Road.

New Lenox Fire Protection District reports that a woman in her 50s was attempting to cross Route 30 at Prairie Road when she was "bumped" by a car.

She received "very minor" injuries.

According to NFLPD, she was on foot on the south side of Route 30 on Prairie Road, which is directly across the street from the entrance into the Metra Station parking lot. She walked close to a vehicle coming south out of the train station parking lot and onto Prairie Road.

"The driver didn't see her," said NLFPD Fire Chief Jon Mead.
