Flooding Shuts Down Portion of Nelson Road
Traffic is down to one lane as of 4 p.m., but a portion of the road will be shut down entirely following the evening commute.
A section of Nelson Road is down to one lane Friday afternoon, due to flooding between the CN train tracks and Illinois Highway.
Traffic is restricted to one lane as of 4:15 p.m., but the road will be entirely closed to traffic following the evening commute, according to a notice on the village website.
The road could be closed earlier, should temperatures drop and the water turn to ice.
