Crash on I-80 EB Between Mokena and New Lenox, Minor Injuries
Traffic is backed up on Interstate 80 in the eastbound lanes between New Lenox and Mokena.
A crash about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 80 eastbound between Mokena and New Lenox has resulted in at least one minor injury. Traffic is backed up in the area.
Illinois State Police Sgt. Martez Malone said the crash was at mile marker 143. No further details about the circumstances of the crash are immediately available.
He noted that New Lenox Fire Protection District responded to the call. At least one person suffered what appeared to be "minor injuries."
ISP are investigating the accident.
