The County Board opposed closing the Tinley Park Mental Health Center and approved other items.
The County Board(CB) approved a Zoning Map Amendment from A-1 to E-2 for a 2.7 acre parcel at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road and Francis Road in New Lenox Township for the building of a residence.
The CB adopted the Fairmont Neighborhood Plan, which was created over the past year by planners from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning and local residents as a road map for future development of the Fairmont area.
The CB accepted a $750,000 grant from the State of Illinois for Floodway improvements of the Sunnyland drainage way in Plainfield Township.
