Wil County Zoning Ordinance Public Hearing Draft Released

The Will County Zoning Ordinance Public Hearing Draft has been released and is now available for download at www.renewingwillcounty.com.  The Will County Land Use and Development Committee is nearing the completion of a major update of the Will County Zoning Ordinance.

The Will County Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct two public hearings to obtain comments on the Will County Zoning Ordinance Public Hearing Draft.  Written or verbal comments may be submitted as part of the public record at each public hearing.  In order to provide flexibility and offer attendance options, the public hearings are scheduled as identified below.

Public Hearing #1, April 30, 2012, at 6 p.m. at Will County Office Building, County Board Room, 302 N. Chicago St., Joliet, Il

Public Hearing #2, May 3, 2012, at 6 p.m., at Will County Office Building, County Board Room, 302 N. Chicago St., Joliet, Il

Written comments received prior to the public hearings will be submitted by staff for the public record at one of the puiblic hearings.

After the comment period and public hearings are closed, all comments will be reviewed for consideration, and staff will seek Ordinance Review Subcommittee direction for changes to be incorporated into a final draft for consideration by the Will County Board.  Will County Board action on the updated ordinance is expected in July 2012.
