REPORT ON WILL COUNTY BOARD MEETING FOR MAY 2013

SEE WILL COUNTY BOARD ACTION ITEMS FOR MAY!

The following items of business were approved by the Will County Board at its May meeting:

1.  Granted a Special Use Permit for Sports and Recreation Facility to Joseph Stark for use of New Lenox Girls Softball Association located in an Industrial Building on South Cedar Road in New Lenox.

2.  Approved acceptance of Chicago Agency for Planning Staff Assistance Services agreement for a Study of Brown Field Sites in Will County which can be converted to suitable Renewable Energy Use Sites.

3.  Confirmed Award of Contract to Gallagher Asphalt Corp. for $656,755 for New Lenox Road District using Road District Allotment of Motor Fuel Tax Funds.

4.  Authorized approval of an IDOT-County Joint Agreement for making improvements to the intersection of Laraway Road and US Route 45.

5.  Authorized approval of an intergovernmental between Will County and Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning for completion of 2040 Will County Transportation Plan to produce a Long Range Transportation Plan for the entirety of Will County to be paid for $240,000 Federal Grant and $60,000 Local match.

6.  Authorized approval of Professional Services Agreement for Right of Acquisition Services (Appraisals) with Civiltech Engineering, Inc. for parcel along Laraway Road at the intersection of Cedar Road ($22,200).  Authorized approval of Professional Services Agreement for Review Appraisals with Hampton, Lenzini, and Renwick, Inc. ($8,000).  Authorized approval of Professional Services Agreement for Negotiations with Santacruz Associates, Ltd. ($22,000) for same site. 

7.  Appropriated $33,786 Grant Fund from Illinois Dept. of Public Health in Will County Health Dept. budget for Emergency Preparedness and Response Program.

8.  Approved resolution in Support of State Legislation Regarding the Concealed or Otherwise Carry of Firearms, including Reasonable Provisions for the Public Health and Safety.

WILL COUNTY FOREST PRESERVE DISTRICT ACTIONS:

1.  Approval of Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Forest Preserve District of Will County and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150.
