REPORT ON WILL COUNTY BOARD FOR DECEMBER 2012

The following items were approved at Will County Board meetings in December:

Herb Brooks was approved as Speaker of the County Board replacing Jim Moustis as Chairman due to a reorganization of the Board after the November Election.

Tom Weigel was approved to continue as Land Use and Development Committee Chairman 

A $548,784 Professional Services Agreement for Engineering Services with Globetrotters Engineering Corp. for proposed improvement of the intersection and signals at Cedar Road and Laraway Road

A $24,858 Supplemental Professional Services Agreement for Design Engineering Services (Phase I) with Willett Hofmann & Associates for new Cedar Road bridge over Spring Creek

Authorizing Will County State's Attorney's Office to proceed with Condemnation of properties along McDonough Street from Houbolt Road to Infantry Drive so that the road can be widened and transfer jurisdiction to the City of Joliet

Replacement hires in the County Executives Office, Sunny Hill Nursing Home and the Highway Department

A $60,032 Supplemental Agreement for Engineering Services with Hampton, Lenzini, and Renwick Inc. for Roadway Intersection and Signal improvements at 143rd St. and Will-Cook Road

A Special Use Permit to expand existing Landscape Composting Facility and to Compost Food/Organic Waste, Manure Waste and Tobacco Waste at Wilton Township site on Wilmingtion Road
