Walk of Hope and 5k Fun Run

The Cancer Support Center is having a 5K Fun Run fundraiser at the Mokena Community Park District, 10925 La Porte Road on May 6.

MOKENA, Ill.— On Sunday, May 6, 2012, join over 1,000 community
members in The Cancer Support Center’s Walk of Hope and 5K Fun Run at the Mokena Community Park District, 10925 La Porte Road. The Walk of Hope is brought to you by our Title Sponsors-- Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Vantage Oncology.  

The Walk of Hope raises funds and awareness to provide
programs at no charge for individuals and families affected by cancer.  Start building your team today!  The pledge goal per walker is $100.  Please register online at www.cancersupportcenter.org and click the green Walk Icon.  Call the Walk hotline at 708.365.1201 for more information.  Individuals (15 years & up): $25 Child (5 years – 14): $10 Children under 5 FREE!  No Pets Please!

The Cancer Support Center provides support programs and
services to help people improve their quality of life during the cancer
experience, at no charge.  In 2011, The Center had over 8,000 visits from those in need of our resources, over 100 new callers each month, and gave 222 wigs to women who were losing their hair due to chemotherapy. The Center is able to provide these resources to anyone regardless of financial ability because of the generosity of individuals and organizations like you.
