Mokena Grade School Reunion Family Picnic – June 23

A reunion picnic is scheduled for June 23 for all teachers and students of Mokena grade schools at Hickory Creek Forest Preserve from 12pm to 7pm.

An all day picnic reunion is set for students and teachers of Carpenter Street, Willowcrest, Mokena Elementary and Mokena Jr. High on June 23 from 12pm to 7pm at the Hickory Creek Forest Preserve (Hickory Hollow Picnic Shelter), located at 10417 W. La Porte Road Mokena. (Rain or Shine).

PAYMENT INFO:  Cost is $10 per person and children under 12 are free. Price includes Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Brats, Chips, Sweet Corn, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, and Pop/Water.  Lunch will be served at 2pm and dinner at 5pm.  Please make checks payable to Debra Strong and write 'picnic' in the memo and send in your payment by June 16. Mail checks to Tim Howe PO Box 84 New Lenox, Illinois 60451. Please include on a post-it note the number of attendees, including kids under 12.

MOKENA PHOTO EXHIBIT: A Mokena photo exhibit will be held at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church 10731 W. La Porte Rd. Mokena, IL from 2pm to 4pm. It is free of charge and within walking distance of the picnic. Hosted by: Mr. Quinn and Matt Galik.

PARKING: Additional parking is permitted at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church 10731 W. La Porte Rd. Mokena, IL. The church is 4/10 of a mile from the picnic pavilion, and a paved bike trail leads from the church parking lot right to the pavilion. Feel free to ride your bikes or pull a wagon!

Guests are asked to bring a dish to share, their own chairs (picnic tables are located under the pavilion), sunscreen, hand sanitizer/soap (hand pump for water on premises),toilet paper, bug spray, etc.
