The Not So Supreme Court Decision

It appears our supreme court has again chosen to be the lap dog of their republican brethren instead of looking out for the best interest of the people. The recent decision to strike down parts of the voters rights act is the latest example. The court knows full well that congress will not even attempt to rewrite the wording that was struck down using some bogus logic that it was outdated. Instead, the states will now be allowed to pass discriminatory laws ,such as the voter ID law that was disallowed ( mainly because it required a photo ID drivers license and we all know rich people dont need to give up their photo ID when they get tickets, they can afford other means ). We all remember the people who had to stand in line in Florida for up to seven hours to vote, simply because it was a republican controlled state and was important in turning the election in their favor in the last presidential election. The republicans must have finally realized that their platform is so far out of line with the middle class that the only way they will ever win a free election again is to change the rules. In my opinion the republicans have been the party of the rich for at least the last 25 years and anyone who is poor, middle class or upper middle class that votes republican is voting against their best interest. We have been nearly the only developed nation without national health care for years and the rest of the world is in disbelief, yet the republicans are fighting to the death to strike down the affordable care act even as they and their political cronies have taxpayer funded health care for the rest of their lives. I view this as just another attempt to keep the people down as the health care law will make it easier for us to switch jobs if we can maintain our health care. It gives the powers one less thing to hold over our heads. I say its time for the silent majority to become the vocal majority. Its time to stand up and tell our politicians we aren't going to put up with their BS anymore. Lets reward the ones who are looking out for us and vote out the ones who are causing the gridlock. We can no longer sit back and expect them to do the right thing because they have proven time and again that they will put their interests ahead of ours. Things won't change unless we show our dissatisfaction. Write or call your politician and tell them we're mad as heck and wont take it anymore. Are you with me?
