(New Lenox, Illinois) – Renegade Productions and LMW Films, today announced it will hold their next highly praised spiritual event in New Lenox, Illinois, showcasing a screening of the celebrated documentary, The Blood & The Rose. This divinely inspired occasion, featuring reflections from dynamic Catholic speakers and a performance by Catholic recording artist Simonetta Pacek and her daughters’ music group “ForEver”, will take place on Sunday, September 8, at Lincoln Way Central High School auditorium in New Lenox, Illinois, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Event speakers include, popular Relevant Radio Chicago host, Sheila Liaugminas, Fr. David Simonetti and author and mother of three, Traci Matheu. Pete and Angela Collarelli, proud parents of 10 children, will be the emcees for the day. Proceeds will benefit a non-profit organization, Women’s Choice Services, and will also help start a fund to provide scholarship money for women who would like to participate in the Catholic study program, “Educating on the Nature and Dignity of Women” (ENDOW).

Recent winner of two Telly Awards, The Blood & The Rose – directed by Timothy Watkins (In the Face of Evil), with Executive Producer, Steve McEveety (The Passion of the Christ), and narrated by Eduardo Verastegui (star of the movies Bella and For Greater Glory) – tells the complete story of the spread of Catholicism in the Americas as inspired by the miraculous appearance of the Virgin of Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego. Through the film and the reflections being offered at these spiritual events, Leo McWatkins Films hopes to deliver Our Lady’s valuable message, which calls out to and encourages each of us to raise up as the next generation of ‘messenger eagles’ who will deliver the Gospel of Life, just as she did to St. Juan Diego.  The film also just recently made its international debut at 2013 World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro this past July.

“We are more than excited to be able to share this film with the Northern Illinois Community,” says Director Tim Watkins. “This inspirational event continues to remind us all that we are called to be a part of the mission to become the next generation of messenger eagles and spread the good news of the gospel in order to make a difference.”

Watkins, a devout Catholic, has created an impactful message that will aid in learning the complete story while enabling viewers to then share this miraculous story for the glory of God. As longtime President and CEO of Renegade Communications, a highly successful marketing, advertising and production firm, his company represents some of the world’s most recognizable brands – Time-Warner, Under Armour, T.Rowe Price and Comcast among them.
