Styx Concert Coming to New Lenox

Get all of the information you need for the final show in the 2012 Triple Play Concert Series.

The Chicago-born band is the final act in the . Concertgoers can look forward to top hits from the band, including "Lady" and "Come Sail Away" along with newer releases, such as "Pieces of Eight."

Last month New Lenox residents rocked out to Heart, led by vocalists Ann and Nancy Wilson, and by female country musician Sara Evans in June, as well as Night Ranger. This Labor Day weekend, the 1970s and '80s-famed band, Styx, is the headliner act. .

All tickets for the Triple Play Concert Series were sold out in July. Those fortunate enough to be holding tickets for the outdoor performance can also look forward to two warm-up bands, Casey Abrams, a Wilmette native and American Idol hit, along with Pride of Lions.

Concert info: The concert is Saturday, Sept. 1, at the . Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Lineup: Styx is the headliner and will play closer to 9 p.m. Abrams is expected to take the stage at 5:45 p.m., and Pride of Lions is slated to begin at 7:15 p.m. For more information about the bands, check out their websites at:

Shuttle service: Free bus shuttle from the Metra commuter lot at Route 30 and Church Street to and from the event will be provided starting at 5 p.m.

Weather: According to The Weather Channel, the high temperature for Sept. 1 is 83 degrees with a low of 66 degrees. There's a 40 percent chance of rain. 

Food/drinks: No coolers, food or outside beverages are allowed inside the park. Ten local restaurants will sell a variety of food. Beverages, including beer, wine, wine coolers, water and pop will be available for purchase as well. No alcohol is allowed to leave the Village Commons after the concerts.
