Sports Photo Gallery: Setting a High Bar

Lincoln-Way Central's Kyle Counter won the 3200 meter run at the recent Lincoln-Way West Warrior Invitational and emerged as one of the individual standouts in the meet.

Lincoln Way West and Lincoln Way Central tied for sixth place in a highly competitive eight-team field at the Lincoln Way West Warrior boys track and field invitational.

Kyle Counter was the only individual winner from either school , taking the 3200 title in 9:40.90. 

Other top-three performances included Mark Pedziwiatr, who took second place in the 800 (1:59.8) for Lincoln-Way West, only five-tenths of a second behind Hinsdale Central's Azad Darbandi.

The Lincoln-Way West 4x400 relay team of Pedziwiatr, Matthew Owens, B.J. Bello and Jake Bax took third place with a time of 3:33.90. 

Thornton Township ran away with the team title, garnering 215 points while Hinsdale Central was second with 133 points.
