PHOTO GALLERY: Lincoln-Way West Band Performs During Home Opener

Although the Warriors lost badly to Crete-Monee, the band marched on, making its first performance during a home football game since former director Steve Nedzel died in June 2011.

It was a rough football game, but an emotional one as the Lincoln-Way West Warriors lost to Crete-Monee 35-0 on Friday night.

The Marching Warriors made their first performance at a home football game since former band director .

Nedzel, 32, was loved by students and the Lincoln-Way community, and hundreds turned out to a earlier this summer. He was replaced by Cary Ruklic, who was the assistant band director at .
