On His Game: It's Hipp to Be Part of Undefeated L-W Central Golf Team
Lincoln-Way Central senior Dan Hipp is one the golfers who has helped the Knights to a 9-0 record in the Southwest Suburban Conference this season.
Dan Hipp wasn’t walking around with a plastic golf club in his hand before he could walk.
The senior didn’t start playing the game until he was 11 years old. Eventually, he grew with the sport, gaining knowledge from a different perspective as a caddy.
Today, Hipp’s focus is on finishing his final high school season strong, and he and the rest of the Knights have done just that, boasting a perfect 9-0 record in the Southwest Suburban Conference. The Knights have won 17 consecutive conference dual meets, a streak that dates back to 2010.

Along with fellow seniors Tom Schuman, Ronnie Boggs and Kyle McDonald, junior Bryant Bolden and sophomores Tony Kestel and Kyle Tebelman, Hipp and the Knights will look to make a run in the post-season.
Hipp’s had a strong September. He helped the team win the Providence Invitational on Sept. 10 with a 3-over-par 75, and he led the Knights with a 1-over-37 in a win over Bradley-Bourbannais.
