L-W West Girls Water Polo Team Makes Early Splash

Three straight wins after opening loss has Warriors fired up about new season.

The Lincoln-Way West girls water polo team has gotten off to a 3-1 start.

“We are very excited on how the season has begun,” Warriors coach Kristen Anderson said. “We want to keep working on areas of the game that are not as strong, and use our skills and players to continue seeing success.”

The Warriors have won three straight after dropping a 12-8 decision to Metea Valley. They edged Schaumburg, 9-7, blasted St. Charles East, 13-4, and topped Maine West 10-6. Last season, the Warriors got slammed by the Saints, 20-3, so it's been a nice turnaround.
