Gimme 5: Blackwood Kills on Court and Stage
Lincoln-Way Central's Sean Blackwood will continue his volleyball career at St. Ambrose University.
Lincoln-Way Central senior Sean Blackwood has had a memorable four years in high school.
The senior is finishing up his high school athletic career as a member of the boys volleyball team, and he will continue his career at St. Ambrose University. Like most boys, he’s still relatively new to volleyball although he played competitively for two years in junior high and has continued throughout his high school years.
The 6-foot-5 Blackwood was a member of the Knights' basketball team during the winter months. He is a member of the National Honor Society, IM Olympics and Mu Alpha Theta (math honorary).

He’s also proven to be an entertainer, winning a talent contest in the Knight in Shining Armor fundraiser contest by dressing up as Napoleon Dynamite, the lead character in the movie of the same name and performing a lip sync.
