Football: Warriors' Bello Commits to Western Michigan

The senior linebacker is the first Warrior football player to commit to a Division I-A (FBS) school.

Defensive leader BJ Bello of 's football team is now the first Warrior to commit to a Division I-A college.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Bello, a senior outside linebacker, orally committed last week to Western Michigan University.

Western Michigan is in the Mid-American Conference. Last year, the Warriors' first senior class sent eight athletes on to play college football.

Three went to the Division I-AA Missouri Valley Conference (Illinois State and Western Illinois), one went to Division II McKendree College and four went to Division III Carroll College.
