The Warriors didn't play any of the teams in its regional this season, but have struggled throughout the year. After a horrible offensive start to the season, West has shown signs of improvement, even if it hasn't shown much in the wins column.

The team got past a poor Bremen team in the first round but needed to play a near perfect game to beat Hillcrest, which was 18-4 as of Feb. 20 and ranked in the Top 20 in the Chicagoland area by both the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune.
