USF Inaugurates D210 Brd. Pres. Arvid Johnson

Lincoln-Way High School District 210 Board President Arvid Johnson was inaugurated Oct. 4 as president of the University of St. Francis in Joliet.

Johnson, who is serving his second term as LWHSD210 board president, accepted the top administrative position as USF in March and started in June. The formal inauguration ceremony was held Oct. 4 on the Feast of St. Francis at USF.  

He replaced the retired president, Michael J. Vinciguerra.  A resident of Frankfort, Johnson is currently serving as dean of the Business School at Dominican University, River Forest.

Johnson, the ninth USF president, said he was particularly drawn to USF because of its focus—"Called to Serve. …Called to Lead," according to the USF website.
