Brett Ditchman scored twice for Lincoln-Way Central in a 26-18 season-opening football loss to district rival Lincoln-Way North on Friday night.
Cobi Christiansen blocked a punt inside the Phoenix 5 to set up a Knight score. Central closed within one point of North, but the Phoenix were able to pick off a pass and hang on to gain the victory.
