Patch Whiz Kids of the Week: Oster-Oakview Boys Basketball

  • Oster-Oakview School
  • Won the conference championship by beating previously undefeated Hickory Creek 33-30. 
  • For the first time in school history Oster-Oakview elementary won the sixth-grade boys D.P.V.C. Conference Championship. Oakview was 11-1 during the regular season, with its only loss to Hickory Creek (14-0). After Oakview bested Spencer Crossing and Nelson Ridge, the stage was set for a rematch with Hickory Creek for the title. Hickory Creek took the early advantage in a game, but after several lead changes Oakview won.
